A Stoic’s Eye

Transfixed above a pointed brow it rests
Refined, defined, resigned to contemplate
Deconstructing walls of thought we create
To better reconcile a world that jests

So bold an eye that spies when not irate
Performing, conforming through complex tests
Never settled to discourse he detests
And no joy is his taken from debate

Stoic the templed thinker’s third eye stands
Gazing out as his marbled mind demands
